Since this is at the bottom of the door, it is a pretty simple and straight forward install. Take down the door. Find the center of the door, put the template in place, cut and install. The door this was installed on is hollow core. I found some wood scraps that were just right so I could insert them at the spots where the screws would go in. I have 3 cats.
