Granted I haven't tried any other lunch boxes, but I did quite a bit of research prior to deciding on a brand to go with. I decided on Bentgo because of its high quality, warranty, ease of use, and kid-friendly designs. I like that the lunchboxes have different compartments for various items and that Bentgo itself warranties its products. The tray easily snaps in and out and my 4-year-old can open and close it with ease. It's easy to wash...although it's dishwasher safe I can't see that I would put it in the dishwasher since it's so easy to clean even without soaking. I haven't tried to put soup or anything in this as IMO this is not the vessel for soups and liquidy items. I would however feel comfortable putting pasta and sauce or another slightly liquidy items. Purchased Jan. 2021. My 10 year old son has been using this lunch box since I purchased it. Have had no issue with it at all. Definitely worth the money. Like most lunch boxes with white interior, although easy to wipe/sanitize, it does stain/discolor. Maybe making it a gray, or other color besides white, would make it more appealing. Also, the outside is a soft fabric, so if choosing a light color or pattern, I'd recommend treating with "scotch guard" or similar product to make it easier to clean/repel stains. My 4.5 year old son is OBSESSED with his lunch bag and container. He regularly requests using the container when eating meals at home! As a mom, I love how easy it is to clean and the fact that it is ACTUALLY leak proof. I often pack something crunchy like pretzels in one compartment and something juicy like strawberries in another. Once closed, the container actually keeps the strawberry juices in their own little section so they don’t make the pretzels all soggy! It’s great.
There aren’t any real downsides to this product. It is sort of heavy even when it’s completely empty—the heavy-duty nature of the plastic makes it weigh a bit more than your standard Tupperware. The lunch bag is also quite large, but it needs to be in order to fit the container and any additional items you’d want in a lunch bag—ice packs, cutlery, snack bars, whatever. This is by NO means a downside in my opinion—just something to consider. These containers are perfect! I have bento boxes, but they were SO heavy for my 6 year old to lug to school. Regular plastic rubber ware was too flimsy. Some other brand of containers are alright, but difficult to clean. I wanted something much lighter than a bento, still with some divided sections and easy to pair with an ice pack.
The quality of these are great! Not thin plastic, but thicker. My kid is able to open independently and I can use rubber muffin cups (I recommend investing if you haven’t for lunches) to break up the larger section if needed.

This item came new, and packaged wonderfully! Also very fast shipping, I was in a crunch to find my grandson a "lunchkit" for his first year starting school! I think this is going to be just what I was looking for. My grandson starts Pre-K and is a very picky "snacker". (I won't say eater, because he is very picky!) So I think the compartments are just the right size to put his favorites in to send to school for lunchtime!
