How To Make Scented Gel Beads

Aroma gel beads are plastic beads that can absorb water, fragrance oil and color. These beads are stronger than potpourri; and can last on average from about three to six months depending on which type of gel beads that you are using. They can also be aromatherapy products and help people who suffer with allergies because they are made out of more natural products compared to some of the other odor eliminating products on the market.

These scented gel beads can look beautiful and are used as household home décor; but yet they work hard in getting rid of tough odors that your pets can leave behind. People can put these gel beads in many places such as in their dresser drawers; cabinets; shoes; lockers; and even in their cars.

These aroma beads can be refreshed; and many people find that they are very easy to make right at home. If your home has even a little of an unpleasant smell you can make these beads to help neutralize and remove odors from the air in any room. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to make scented gel beads that are specifically designed to get rid of cat odor in your home.

Gather Your Supplies

The first step is to gather all the supplies you'll need for this project. You'll need the following items:

-silicone molds

- clear liquid soap

- essential oils (lemon or orange work best for cat odor)

- food coloring (optional)

-boiling water

-shallow container

Mix the Liquid Soap & Essential Oils

Once you have all your supplies gathered together, it's time to mix up the liquid soap and essential oils.

Start by mixing two cups of liquid soap with 10-15 drops of essential oil in a shallow container.

Mix them together until they are thoroughly combined. If you want your gel beads to have color, add a few drops of food coloring now as well.

Add Boiled Water & Pour Into Molds

Next, slowly add boiled water into the mixture while stirring constantly until it reaches a soupy consistency.

Once it's ready, pour the mixture into silicone molds and let it sit overnight or until completely dry and hardened.

Once dry, pop out the gel beads from the silicone molds and store them in an airtight container for future use!
