If you're a cat lover, then you know that one of the most important things is to have a healthy and clean litter box. One of the biggest expenses for many cat lovers is buying cat litter. While there are many types and brands of cat litter on the market, did you know that you can make your own? It's actually quite simple, and in this blog post, we'll show you how.

First Way To Make Cat Litter:

Materials:

Clay (You can buy this at most hobby or craft stores).

Sawdust or Sand

Procedure:

1. Start by mixing equal parts clay and sawdust or sand in a large bowl. Once it's thoroughly mixed, wet the mixture with water until it's the consistency of mud. Then, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the mixture out onto the sheet.

2. Bake the mixture at 200 degrees for 30 minutes, or until it's dry. Once it's dry, break it up into clumps and store in an airtight container.

That's it—you've now made your own cat litter!

  3. Soak the strips of newspaper in a soapy mixture for about ten minutes.
  4. Rinse the paper strips by running them under a faucet or rinse them in a bowl of plain water; and pat with paper towels to remove excess water.
  5. Pour baking soda onto the moist paper strips; and mix the baking soda into the paper with your hands until the paper strips are completely covered with the baking soda to help absorb odor.
  6. Break up the paper into smaller pieces and let it air dry for several days.
