Read this article to find the best and easy homemade cat treat recipes approved by Vets!
There are a lot of recipes out there for homemade cat treats. You can give your cat treats; however, they should not account for more than ten percent (10%) of your cat’s daily caloric intake. If you’re unsure whether your cat is getting the nutrients they need from the food they eat every day, then talk to your veterinarian.
If you decide to make homemade cat treats keep in mind that some foods can be toxic to your cat; so try to stay away from giving your cat the following foods: tomatoes, uncooked potatoes, raw and/or undercooked meats; garlic and chives; milk and dairy products; onions; dog food; liver; grapes and raisins; alcohol; chocolate; and raw eggs and meat.
Foods that are safe for cats include: cheese, cooked eggs, fish, and high protein meat. You can always observe your cat to make sure that they are not having any adverse response to the new foods that you introduce to them.
